WAKING UP
[ edan would be one of the natives who does not have time to hold your hand. if anything, he would rather get this over with as quickly as possible, so he can go back to his real work. unlike kei, edan is not a legitimate doctor, but he does have medical knowledge and he has been going through some extra medical training with him. so, for any of the ones who are entering with injuries, feel free to approach him about them. he won't be as welcoming as kei though. ]
EXPLORING
[ as a highly intelligent and skilled engineer, edan has taken over a large auto repair shop and altered it into a lab for resident scientists and inventors like him. they are currently working on a project to either create a device capable of dispersing a potential cure or a weapon capable of destroying the undead in masses. they're also, of course, still seeking a solution for the virus. on the side, they do offer to repair or create anything you may need for a price (mostly consisted of doing supply runs for necessary tools and parts).
on the exterior of the building, newcomers will find a lot of warning signs informing them not to intrude. you most likely won't receive a warm welcome from edan unless you're going to be considered useful in there. so better have a case for yourself in mind before you think of stepping in (or, alternatively, just go in anyway to annoy him). ]

i'm going out for a supply hunt. we're in need of more parts at the workshop. if you can identify any of the items on the list and you're good in combat, come along. otherwise, don't bother responding.

thanks for offering lessons. arrows are a lot more sustainable than bullets, anyway - we don't have a way to make more yet so we're stuck with what we can scrounge up.

The gods did not see fit to send her into the afterlife with a gun. Or in fact, anything but the clothes on her back. It's a military uniform - brown, an impeccably tailored coat and pants, complete with gloves that mean the only visible skin is her face. On a seventeen-year-old kid with bright lilac eyes, it might look a bit odd. It doesn't help that she's strapped a metal pipe to her belt in place of a weapon. It hangs there from her hip like a child's idea of an ancient warrior's sword.
Her partner - when she finds him - says something to her, but there's a moment where her gaze flickers down to his bare hands instead, just visible with his arms crossed. Just a moment-- then she looks up with the slightest physical jerk, like she's noticed his flies are undone and she's too embarrassed to mention it. Only then does what he says catch up to her.
"If we have time, we can braid each other's hair later on." The thing about having such a posh accent is that a lot of what she says, including this, sounds utterly serious. She smiles, though, a moment after, and it makes her look all the younger.
(Her hair is as short as his, for the record.)
"Tisarwat," she goes on, with a very short bow. "And you are...?"

Daigo follows Mine aside. Mine's always been dreadfully formal with him, but they're about the same age, aren't they? Maybe he'll tell him to ease up once they've gotten their bearings. Daigo at least calms down once it's just them. ]

[ although mine generally has a pretty good poker face, sometimes his judgmental side finds its way to surface past his finely chiseled display of stoicism, and when kei opens his mouth and that sweet, sweet osaka-ben comes out mine quirks an eyebrow, a slight smile playing on his lips. and by smile i mean "judgmental af smirk."
here are the things mine knows about hell:
1. it is apparently in america
2. the japanese ppl speak with kansaiben
3. there are zombies
4. little orphan children are being educated instead of being fed to zombies which seems like a waste of canon fodder
(mine is the worst. an orphan hating villain. im putting him on blast.)
anyways the smile/judgmental asshole look disappears as quickly as it comes and he nods. knee-jerk reaction to speech aside, kei's obvious from the same side of the law as he is. and while his ink might be a little more gaudy and ostentatious than is mine's preference, allies were allies. ]

[ or was, least. but he manages to pronounce the city's name well and not just because of the understanding thing. he speaks english fluently hes a real businessman in addition to being a shady yakuza businessman. ]
