Peter is met first by a surprised blink and then a wary sort of intrigue. Mick Rory isn't the type of man who invites friendship or even cordiality from most strangers, which was to say he looks, and often is, one mean bastard.
"Yeah? How much is that gonna be worth to me?" Comes the gruff challenge.
Mick knows Peter's name and face, but not much else. In fact, he'd been walking up to the roof with the same sense of dread Peter had before they officially met and he had a moment to really size the man up. Mick sees two things he's got going for him so far - he isn't scrawny and, while he's younger than Mick, he isn't a kid. Unfortunately, he also seems to be some sort of optimistic charmer, which means he's probably got an ego the size of the San Andres fault. What Peter chooses for his answer now will probably inform Mick one way or the other.
